Historic walks, nature walks, Falls creek, winter walks, mountain biking, Built in 1889 Wallace Hut remains the oldest surviving hut in the Victorian Alps. Nestled amongst gnarled Snow Gums the hut sits on a flat grassy plain and is just a short walk (700m) along a gradually sloping gravel trail from a carpark on the Great Alpine Road. At the carpark a large information shelter provides interesting facts about the site and the Bogong High Plains. A toilet and picnic tables are located near the hut.
